蔡英文總統「英翔專案」於台北時間24日上午9時啟程。對於華航罷工事件，她特別在華航專機發表廣播談話指出，「在這條路上，我們會與各位一起度過，不會讓你們感到孤單」。


蔡英文表示，這次為期9天的出訪行程中，將訪問邦交國巴拿馬與巴拉圭，並分別於去返程過境美國邁阿密與洛杉磯，期盼在大家的努力下，能一切順利，「我們都是團員、我們都是一體，我們一起為了一個目標，就是讓中華民國、讓台灣、讓世界看得到我們，也讓我們可以有機會讓世界知道台灣、台灣人和中華民國」。


蔡英文特別感謝華航的機組員在過去這段時間，為了這次訪問行程做許多準備、克服很多困難，讓這次出訪得以順利成行。但談及目前許多華航空服員在台灣為爭取權益與尊嚴所做的努力，蔡英文說，「在這條路上，我們會與各位一起度過，不會讓你們感到孤單」。她強調，「在這個過程中，我們會隨時交換意見，行政團隊及華航新的經營團隊也會與大家做最好的溝通」。
